Thing is though the comparison with the Taliban and other insurgents as in Vietnam is not comparable. There was not widespread dissent among them as there is in Russia and the fighting was in their homeland. The Russian people would never support a war in their own territory. And if it got to that point, you would be talking a world war and Putin using nukes, which would be a worldwide catastrophe. I hope you're wrong and that Barry is right.
