“Let’s play strip poker.
I should have been shocked by the Governor’s crude comment, but I wasn’t.
We were flying home from an October 2017 event in Western New York on his taxpayer-funded jet. He was seated facing me, so close our knees almost touched. His press aide was to my right and a state trooper behind us.”
So, he said this in front of other people, right? Do you think he was serious? This is ridiculous. Okay, so he made some other innocent comments implying he thought you were attractive. So, does that constitute sexual harassment. What if he complimented you on your intellect. Is that harassment too?
In my opinion, MeToo is a hostile movement against men. A person has to watch whatever they say to the opposite sex, at least if they're in a position of authority, because that can be "interpreted" as sexual harassment. And I emphasize interpretation because you really don't know the intent behind a lot of these supposedly harassing comments.
If it were a fellow employee who was not your boss saying these things, would you even think about it? No, you probably would laugh it off -- unless he made unwanted advances and apparently Cuomo did not or you would be describing them. It's amazing how your experience is getting so much attention.
