It's debatable whether it was the largest slave uprising. but Nat Turner was far more impactful because his rebels murdered about 60 whites and very brutally, which is why it is so well remembered, and of course, we know he was skinned, pieces of which were made into mementoes. His rebellion also had the most impact as the nightly slave patrols became commonplace in the South and slave church services needed to be held in the presence of a white person, as well as stricter bans on teaching slaves to read.
