I usually agree with you, Mike, and some of what you say is true. But overall I have to disagree. Tell me how many people were homeless or in deep debt when we were growing up? The average family had their own home on one paycheck. The gap between the rich and the poor is the greatest in our nation's history, Mike. We have a serious problem with violence. How often did you hear about police killing unarmed people, or the hate crimes we have today, or mentally-ill people going into grade schools and killing children with automatic rifles. When did we have a politician whose goal is to become the next Hitler. I could go on and on, but another thing we have lost is just basic common decency. It has gone out the window. Things are not good in America today and while it may not be the issues you have mentioned in your article, it's issues that are far more serious and indicative of the decline of our culture.
