I didn't read Tim's second response until after I wrote mine, but while his was more of legalese response mine was a layman's view, which concurs with his. There is a difference in the names.

I think Kristina doesn't like to be corrected but she has to agree that there is a distinction. I think perhaps she could revise it to provide more clarity. Should we stop using the term marijuana because of racist implications? Stop using hemp because that suggests industrial use? I'm not sure how either will gain more support for total legalization. I think the only reason it is actually on the road to full legalization is that lots of money is being invested in recreational use. And in a capitalist system, money talks. In fact, I always had heard back when I saw the film "Reefer Madness" that it was the tobacco and pharmaceutical industries fearing competition that caused its demonization.
